Punk fashion is one of the recently developed fashions and it is a hybrid of rock and gothic fashion. This makeup kind is also known as emo makeup. Punk or emo is not only restricted to makeup but also extends itself in clothes and accessories making it a complete punk fashion. The people who follow this style of fashion consider it as a way of living, something different from others. Emo or Punk has their own style of music as well. This kind of makeup is gaining quick popularity among both boys and girls. Emo makeup is different from other form of makeup’s and reason for this is their over use of bright colors.
The focus in emo makeup is mainly on the eyes. It is about bringing up the matte look on the face. Powder is used to create this effect or sponge is used to apply the foundation. Use dark color for eye shadow for example purple, black or plum. There is also an option of using neon colors if you want retro emo look. Use neon colors like pink, orange, yellow etc. onto the eye lid but not till the brow. Next is the eye liner which is the next important step for this makeup. Use dark colors for eye liners as well to contrast the neon colors on the eye lid. A curve at the end of the eye can be used to give some flair which is important in this style of makeup. Two or three layers of mascara are necessary for makeup and make sure each layer is allowed to dry before applying another layer.
The mentioned style of makeup is especially for emo girls. Boy makeup is also necessary for punk fashion. In boy makeup, one does not need to use foundation or other powder application on the skin. The boy makeup can be completed by concentration on eye itself. Dark colors similar to girl’s makeup should be used for guys for their eye liner and also as mascara. Black is highly recommended for boy emo. The density of black can be choice of the individual applying it. Many may not accept makeup on a guy but in emo make up on a boy is well appreciated. While doing anything in Emo it is important that it is not just clothes, makeup, music or fashion it a way of living. One cannot adopt one part of emo and avoid the others. Hence, you are either completely into emo or you are not.
